Bible & Theology

The Bible and Theology Department provides instruction in the Word of God, the tools necessary for personal study of that Word, the biblical philosophy which provides a solid foundation for living, and the scriptural motivation to put into practice scriptural standards and precepts.

Biblical Counseling

If you feel a divine calling to offer hope, liberation, and a sense of self to a world in need, our Biblical Counseling program is specifically crafted to equip you for a meaningful ministry.

Business Administration

The Calvary University Business Administration Department promotes professional development and growth by preparing organizational leaders to manage with a servant’s heart in the church and in the world according to the biblical worldview.

Education

Calvary University has been preparing teachers for private and international schools for more than 40 years. In 2010, the Education Department began offering Missouri State Certification, which has expanded its sphere of impact. Teachers prepared at Calvary serve as effective teachers in public, private, and international schools.

English

Note: This is an Interdisciplinary degree, not a BA.

The mission of the English department is to train graduates to write effectively, creatively, and persuasively and to reflect the image of God with sound thinking, artful expression, thoughtful literary analysis, and have a commitment to the Biblical worldview.

Ministry Studies

Calvary’s mission is to “prepare Christians to live and serve in the church and the world according to the biblical worldview.” The Ministry Studies Department is at the heart of this mission.

Music

The Music Department provides quality training and ministry opportunities for students desiring to serve through music. Students of all majors are involved in music learning and ministry through private lessons, music courses, concerts, musicals, chapel music, Masterworks Chorus, and music groups during the school year and in the summer.

Professional Directed Studies

The Professional Directed Studies Department enables academic learning in cooperation with other CHEA accredited institutions. Students can study at Calvary and integrate courses taken from another academic institution in order to major in an academic program not offered at Calvary.

Not ready to pick a professional major yet? Undergraduate degree-seeking students who have earned fewer than 30 credit hours may enroll at Calvary University as undeclared majors while maintaining eligibility for federal financial aid. During this period, students receive academic advising to help explore potential areas of study. A professional major must be formally declared before the student reaches 30 completed credit hours, as it is required for graduation.
